Wash spinach and chop very fine |
Sprinkle with salt and let stand 15 min. |
Squeeze spinach to remove moisture. (it is important to remove as much moisture as possible to make a good filling) |
Combine spinach, cheese, onion, eggs, olive oil and pepper. |
Arrange 9 layers of Fila in the bottom of a greased baking pan, brushing each layer with butter. |
Cover with spinach filling |
Arrange 6 layers of Filo, also buttered, on top of filling |
Chill until firm |
Cut through top layers of Fila to mark servings |
Bake at 350 deg. for 45 min. or until golden brown |
