Clam Chowder

1/4 Lb. Salt Pork - Diced
6-7 Med. Potatoes - Pealed and Cubed
1 Tbsp Flour
2 Med Onions - Finely Chopped
4-6 Cups Scalded Milk
2 Tbsp Butter
1 Carrot - Very Finely Chopped
2 to 3 6-1/2 oz. Cans of Clams
In a heavy pot fry the salt pork until brown
Add onion, carrot, and potatoes
Cover with water and boil until tender
Add salt & pepper
Melt butter and mix in flour
Add clams and milk and bring to a boil
Add flour and butter
Cook 5 min. to thicken
