Conch Fritters

Ingredients

  • 8 Oz Conch Meat
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg, Beaten
  • 6-8 Tbsp Milk
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, Minced
  • 1/4 Cup Red Bell Pepper, Finely Minced
  • 1/4 Cup Celery, Minced
  • Salt to Taste
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper to Taste
  • Oil for Frying

Directions

  1. Grind conch in food processor
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baling powder and egg in a large bowl and beat well
  3. Add milk a little at a time to obtain a thick paste
  4. Stir in conch, vegetables, salt and pepper
  5. Drop 1" balls in 350 deg. oil and fry until golden brown
  6. Drain on paper towels
