Frijoles Refritos

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Lard or Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Cups Pinto Beans, Cooked
  • 2 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oil to hot in a 10" skillet and add the pinto beans
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 min.
  3. Mash beans, add the chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper
  4. Stir until a smooth paste forms (adding more oil if necessary)
