Granville Island Chowder

Ingredients
6 Slices Bacon
1 Sm. Onion, Finely Chopped
3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1 Sm. Green Pepper, Thinly Sliced
2 Carrots, Thinly Sliced
2 Tbsp Parsley, Fresh, Chopped
4 Cups Tomatoes, Seeded and Chopped
3 & 1/2 Cups Bottled Clam Juice
1 Tbsp Thyme, Fresh (1/2 tbsp dried)
Salt To Taste
Fresh Ground Black Pepper To Taste
4 Cups Potatoes, Peeled and Cubed
2 lbs. Seafood, Boneless Fish, Shrimp, Crab, Etc
Directions
Cut bacon into 1" pieces and fry until crisp in a heavy pot
Add next 5 ingredients and saute over med. heat until tender, about 10 min.
Add tomatoes, clam juice, wine, thyme, salt and pepper to pot and bring to a boil for 1 min.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 min.
Add potatoes, return to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender
Add seafood and cook for 5 min., stirring gently
